The
Salisbury Country Club
3490 Yards, Par
After
renovating all 18 holes for The Salisbury Country Club in 1999,
Lester was selected to design an additional nine holes, making Salisbury
a 27 hole facility.
This
new nine, deemed the Huguenot nine, was deftly crafted out of flat,
poorly draining woods. At 3490 yards, the nine incorporates several
features of the land. Creek features were designed by George to
irrigate and create drainage on the entire nine holes. One of the
unique characteristics is a modern example of a Biarritz green,
the par 3, 8th hole with a 1270 square foot green. Also, there are
two very strategic par 4 Short holes and a spectacular strategic
par 5 ninth hole.
